..WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING...

 

* TIMING...SNOW SHOWERS WILL START LATE TONIGHT AND INCREASE IN

  COVERAGE AND INTENSITY BY MID-MORNING TUESDAY BEFORE TAPERING

  OFF BY TUESDAY EVENING.

 

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...POTENTIAL FOR 5 TO 10 INCHES WITH LOCALLY

  HIGHER AMOUNTS.

 

* WINDS...SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS

  REACHING 40 TO 45 MPH AT TIMES TUESDAY MORNING. WINDS WILL

  WEAKEN AFTER NOON ON TUESDAY.

 

* VISIBILITY...LESS THAN A 1/4 MILE AT TIMES DUE TO BLOWING SNOW.

 

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND ICE PACKED ROADS ARE ANTICIPATED. GUSTY

  WINDS WITH OCCASIONAL WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS DUE TO BLOWING SNOW

  ARE POSSIBLE WITH HIGHER ELEVATIONS SEEING THE STRONGEST

  WINDS. HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE FOR ALL

  MOUNTAIN PASSES IN THE WATCH AREA.
