THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL LA PLATA COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST COLORADO...

* UNTIL 630 PM MDT

* AT 1221 PM MDT...LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED    
  FLASH FLOODING ALONG COUNTY ROAD 250 WHERE HEAVY RAINFALL AND     
  MUDSLIDES RECENTLY OCCURRED. RESIDENTS IN THIS AREA AND NEAR THE   
  FLORIDA RIVER AREA SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR RUNOFF AND DEBRIS FLOWS
  THIS AFTERNOON. ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL ARE
  LIKELY OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS WHICH WILL ALLOW WATER TO QUICKLY
  RUNOFF. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY.
