Winter is no time to forget about wildfire.

It might still be winter but if you live in the West and especially if you live in and near hills or trees, you can't stop preparing for the potential of wildfire. The Pikes Peak Wildfire Prevention Partners put together a great video on how mitigation measures helped the survivability of  homes during the devastating Black Forest Fire in Colorado Springs, 2013.

Remember that wildfire mitigation is an ongoing effort for property owners. It takes annual maintenance to keep your home fire safe.
